BlogMixTape 2.0: “O, October!”

Here it is, by popular demand, what promises to be the first of a series of monthly blogcast mixes. Some of it is new, some not-so-new, but highlights include: the Michigan-notable group His Name is Alive, Okkervil River singing about sad, sad John Berryman, The White Stripes covering Dolly Parton, The Mates of State covering Phantom Planet, a track from the re-release of Faust’s 1974 Faust IV, and some of the latest from Black Kids, Bowerbirds, Colleen, Jens and Devendra. Oh, also let me know if there are any glitches with this nifty new player (I think it works best in Firefox). I’ve gone back to the older posts and replaced that more-problematic player with this one, so if you had problems hearing songs and audio I’d posted previously, now you can listen to them here, here, here and here.
